10/9/17 Human Rights

Last week we reviewed a mnemonic device to help you organize short answer responses. (OREO) Therefore, I expect your blog entries to reflect the minimum number of sentences and organization this format requires. Please watch the video above on human rights, then answer the following question in a well organized short answer response

CP – Answer both questions

Gen – Pick one question

  1. Explain in a nutshell the concept of human rights—provide your own definition and offer a few examples of basic human rights.
  2. Can human rights for a single person be violated for a larger group’s safety?

Week of 9/18/17

The first thing I want you to do is go to the “blogging guidelines” page and read the requirements for your section. After you are done answer the following questions as a blog POST. (I would suggest re-watching the “Post vs. Pages” video to clarify the distinction.)

CP answer both General answer one of the two options.

  1. Who was your first crush? Think back to the first time you remember having a crush on someone. Was it Preschool, kindergarten, 8th grade? Did you let that person know? Why did you like them? Try to remember and describe as many details as possible.
  2. What would be on the mix tape of your life?: Embarrassing boy band confessions? One Hit Wonders? Show Tunes? Bring it! Mine would be anything Bon Jovi (we shared the same hair-do in the 80’s)  or Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch. Why did you love them? Was it the music, the image, their videos? How does the band or the music define your life?
